The very first step before making App Store screenshots is picking the right canvas size. Get it wrong and App Review will reject your submission. Here is a clear reference of the official resolutions supported in 2026.

The main sizes

• 6.9": 1260 × 2736, 1320 × 2868, 1290 × 2796
• 6.5": 1242 × 2688, 1284 × 2778
• 6.3": 1206 × 2622, 1179 × 2556
• 6.1": 1125 × 2436, 1080 × 2340, 1170 × 2532
• 5.5": 1242 × 2208

Each size also has a landscape version.

Portrait or landscape?

Default to portrait — the App Store leads with portrait screenshots. Only go landscape if your app is primarily used in landscape (games, video).
